How to: write good internet reviews in less than 5 minutes!
Reviews are a great way to leave positive feedback for a company you enjoyed working with; they are also a good place to warn other consumers of bad products and services as well! Many review sites require that you have an account, but several also let you have the option of leaving anonymous feedback.
Simply follow the steps below and you'll be a reviewing pro in no time!
Google Reviews
Tips for writing excellent reviews:
The best reviews not only have star ratings but also a detailed written review about why you liked or didn't like the service/product.
The first 4-8 words are bolded, so make them count! A summary or description works best.
While constructive critiscism is often encouraged in reviewing try NOT to to be disrespectful or rude. Give reasons why the service is back eg, "This place has terrible food (very bland and cold when it arrived) and the waitstaff is slow and rude." is a much better review than "DON'T GO HERE!!! IT SUCKS!!!!". People want to know WHY as well as WHAT makes a place good or bad.
Yelp Reviews
Yelp prides itself on having real reviews by real people, but many of the same rules Google has are applied here as well. Be concise but thorough, fair but honest and upload pictures if you can!
Yahoo! Reviews
Yahoo! Local makes it easy to share your opinions about the businesses and services you've tried. Just go to the business you want to rate and click the "write a review" link. Yahoo! Local is also affliated with CitySearch so reviews show up on both sites. Check out some other great tips on their website!
Reseller Ratings Reviews
Reviews at Reseller Ratings are used on both Google Reviews and BING reviews as well. Leaving a review is fast and easy! Simply find the company that you wish to evaluate either by searching for its name in the search box, or by browsing our list of companies. Click on the "Rate this Store" button on the company's reviews page. If you have an account, enter your user name and password. A form will come up, follow the instructions. If you don't have an account, click on the "register" button and follow the instructions to get a free account. After you register, you will receive an email to confirm your account. After your account is confirmed (you only need to confirm your account once), you will be presented with the evaluation form.
